    Diet, Exercise & Lifestyle

    Diet

    Portion Control

“I eat a balanced diet. The secret is to watch your portions, but I also work out a lot.”

” I try and be respectful of my body and what I put into it. I do this for both work and my lifestyle. And I try not to overindulge in anything, but to that same point, I also don’t deprive myself of anything.”

    Keeping Your Body Healthy

“Keeping your body healthy with workouts, it’s important what you put into your body. Eating this way gives you energy so you can have a long day of work and not feel exhausted.”

“I actually eat every three hours, six times a day. I need fuel.”

    Favourite Foods

“Coconut water is just the best for you; it’s always something we had in Brazil. Since I was a little girl, I’ve been drinking it.”

“It’s important to watch what you eat — protein, a little bit of carbs and vegetables.”

“I love smoothies, fresh fruit, and veggies. I also take a daily vitamin and drink lots of different herbal teas to help purify my body.”

“Usually when I’m more careful on my diet, I don’t snack. I eat mostly green vegetables asparagus, and spinach. For breakfast or lunch, I like them steamed, raw or both. But, if you like to snack, I suggest blackberries and blueberries. You can eat them all day just carry them with you and they actually help you burn your fat cells, so you can eat them as much as you want!”

    Stay Hydrated

“Being hydrated is something that is very important to me, but I’m going to be real with you: I struggle. But with Waterdrop, I love the idea of having different flavors that are not only natural, but also have some vitamins that help you feel better and more productive throughout the day. You can mix flavors, like guava and mango, so it’s more enjoyable to drink water everyday.”

    Quick Fix Diet

“Unfortunately, there is no quick fix. I promise I work out just as hard as everyone else. There is no secret!”

    Travel Diet

“Traveling and being at photo shoots, it’s kind of hard to find healthy food. I have these two girls I’m very lucky to have, Michelle [Ingels] and Paulina [Indara]. They are nutritionists and certified in Chinese medicine so they design my meals depending on what I’m doing at the gym. It keeps me moving.”

    Guilty Pleasures

“I make a really good Brazilian dish called feijoada. I could eat Brazilian food forever, of course. Also, I love chocolate molten cake. I can’t get enough of it!”

“I love cakes. Chocolate and coconut cakes. I love that combination!”

    Supplements

“I’m very natural. The only vitamin that I take is Vitamin C in the morning… I’m never sick.”

    Exercise

    Workout Routine

“Boxing, cardio, and Dogpound. I try to work out six times a week. When I work out depends where I am.”

    Workout Routine Before A Show

“I’ve been switching things up a little bit. I love boxing, but more recently I’ve been doing a lot of circuit training and running. I’ve found that keeping fit on the road is really challenging. I always want to try new types of food that may not be all that healthy. The key to balancing this is keeping my body active. If I have a gym at my hotel, I’ll wake up and do a quick workout, or I’ll run outside as a way to see the place that I’m visiting. Another good trick of mine is packing a jumprope and doing ten minutes in my room first thing in the morning to get my heart rate up.”

    Workout Challenges

“I love challenges, I love intensity, and I also like to challenge my mind. Believe it or not, boxing is not only about physical force. You use a lot of concentration; it’s really mental.”

Jumping Rope ⎯ Toughest Workout To Learn

“Everything is kind of hard. It’s not easy! It’s a workout. The name says it all. Jumping rope was the toughest for me to learn because it takes a lot of practice and you need to keep the routine constant. It is an everyday practice.”

“I have a great tip – I have a jumping rope in the house, and I just do ten minutes of it whenever I can. You don’t need to work out for hours, just ten minutes will do.”

    Cycling

“I don’t like cycling. I like to move around; I don’t like to be in one station.”

    Travel Companions

“You can always bring a jump rope, because it is so light and easy to carry. You can jog outside, and with your phone, you can download different applications to guide you.”

    Adriana Lima’s Beauty Secrets

    Skin Care Basics

“I wake up, and I put on sunscreen–Sun Bum is my favorite–and then I go to work out right after, so I do not have a lot on my skin. But I like to use products from my facial guy that I go to in Paris. His name is Herve Herau and I like to use his facial cleanser. There is a serum and a light lotion for the day. And everything that he makes, he makes himself, and is organic. I carry his products and just do all of it to myself in the morning.

He is a different type of facialist. When you go in it’s not like there is a menu, he builds everything for you, for your skin. Every time you go it depends on the weather, and your skin changes based on a million different things–what you eat, where you travel. So he sees you and he builds for you based on that.”

    Pimple Quick Fix

“I just relax and that’s it and wait until it’s gone. But usually it’s only one that I get, but in Brazil we have this thing that we do–if you take toothpaste, the white one, and then you put it on a pimple, then during the night it dries out. Also you can put tea-tree oil on a zit; it dries it out faster. Just put it on during the night and then wash it off in the morning.”

    Eyebrows

“I have good eyebrows but I like to elongate them at the end to make them a little bit longer. But once I am in Miami, I am everyday with my children, so I like to use mascara and a lip balm. That’s it. But if I go out at night I use a red lipstick. I am crazy for red lipstick. Maybelline Matte Scarlet and Siren. It’s like a cherry red. I don’t do a liner with it. I am very good. When it’s matte, when you apply it, it’s easier for you.”

    Coconut Oil

“I like to use oils like coconut oil on my whole body. I’ll apply a face moisturizer, face cream, sometimes it’s heavy, sometimes it’s light, and a serum. I’m obsessed with masks. I use them on a regular basis.”

    Mascara Secret

“My secret for mascara is that you just keep applying on and on and on, especially in the summer, I never take my mascara off, I just keep adding on and I think its beautiful. Sometimes I even like to take the brush and purposely touch the skin around the lash line so it looks a little messy. Apply on the top and the bottom for me, the more you apply the better.”

    Hair Care: Dry Hair

“If you have dry hair, dont wash everyday. And if you have very, very dry hair wash once a week! The oils help your hair look better, but it also depends on activityif you sweat a lot every day of course you should wash more often or use dry shampoo. But you have to do whats good for your hair.”

    Hair Wraps

“In Brazil, we do a lot of hair wraps. You wrap your hair around your head with bobby pins. You can do the hair when you sleep and then take it out in the morning. Every Brazilian knows how to do it. Just when it’s needed, I do it. Or if I have a nice dinner with my friends, or just because.”

    Avocado In The Mix

“I like to mix my conditioner with one whole avocado. So my hair is super shiny. Just on my hair. Just once a week.”

    Brazilian Blow-Out

“One thing I would suggest if you have curly or dry hair that made my hair very healthy is the Brazilian blow dry. It’s unbelievable, I cant live without it! I do it every two months and it makes my hair super shiny, plus it adds great movement and body to your hair. I love it.”

New Capture Totale – Super Potent Serum

    Glowing Skin

“If you want the look of very bare skin, you can mix a shimmer powder with your daily lotion even with sun block and apply to your face. It gives you that beautiful glow, even if you have no makeup on.”

    Red Lips

“Sometimes I take like a little red or pink lipstick and dab it on my lips and on my cheeks. I use the same thing on my lips that I use on my cheeks to give that natural tinted look.”

    Moist Eye Pencil

“A lot of women have trouble lining their eyes, and what I discovered is that the pencil works better when it is soft and not too dry. It’s better if it’s moist easier to put on and you actually get a more precise line.”

    Flax Seeds

“If you want your hair to grow faster, you can take flaxseed oil or a flaxseed pilljust ask your doctor. Its great! It will make your hair super shiny and its going to grow fast.”

    Supplements

“I think something that is very important for your skin is to remember that everything that goes into your body is going to show up on the outside, believe it or not. You’re going to see it in your skin and your hair and your nails, so it’s important to watch out!”

    Light Weight MakeUp

“My dermatologist, Dr. Simon Ourian, came out with a foundation and it’s super lightweight. It has sunblock in it and it’s just incredible for your skin. I typically use that during the day since I don’t like heavier or thicker foundations.”

    Go To Make-Up Products

Aside from my Maybelline products, I love Marc Jacobs fragrances, Sisley Black Rose Face Oil, Living Proof Instant Texture Mist , Egyptian Magic, La Roche-Posay Anthelios Sunscreen Fluid, Kusmi Tea BB Detox and 100-percent pure argan oil.

    Gua Sha

“I don’t use the gua sha on my face. Funny enough, I use the gua sha the most when I’m working out at the gym. If I have a hurt muscle or something is sore, I’ll use it on the area that’s bothering me.”

    Body Shimmer

“Patrick Ta made this All-Over Glow Balm that you can apply to your skin. I love it when I want to show my legs. It’s a compact cream, and it’s not oily at all. I use it for the runway, the red carpet, a festival. It’s something I’ll always have on my body.”
